Using Bedding to Subtly Get Your Point Across
By ISOLTR in Entertainment | 0 comments
People try to influence their kids in a lot of different ways. One of those ways that many parents utilize is the child’s room. For example, a parent that really wants his kid to join the army may buy camouflage bedding in order to create that type of extra little influence. A parent that really wants their child to grow up to be a skateboarder my get skateboard bedding. Similarly, a parent that wants their child to ride in motocross would get their child motocross bedding.
But is this okay? Or is this a form of manipulation? I am prone to thinking that it is okay. Why? Because it gives the child something – anything – to strive for that meets their parents’ expectations. While that may not seem important, getting parental approval at a young age is one of the best and only ways to ensure a child grows up psychologically sound. What better way to make sure a parent approves of all their child does by putting a bunch of symbols of approved things in their room. It may be subconscious, but the result will be a happier parent and, ultimately, a happier child as well. Everyone wins in that case.
